Between everyday commitments, finding time to spend with someone isn't always easy. Training together can be a way to share that time and bring movement into your routine.

It can be with your partner, a friend or a family member. You don't need the same Pilates experience: what matters is that the session suits you both and that each person can respect their own pace.

What can practising together bring?

Arranging a class creates a moment set aside for a shared activity. For some people, having company makes it easier to get started and can make the experience more enjoyable.

It can also be a chance to discover new movements, follow a sequence together and talk about the experience afterwards.

Company should work as encouragement, without becoming an obligation or a comparison between the two of you.

Do we have to do everything the same way?

Sharing a class doesn't mean doing every movement with the same range, completing the same number of repetitions or taking breaks at the same time.

One of you may find an exercise easy while the other needs to reduce the movement or watch the demonstration again. Those differences don't stop you practising together.

Before you start, check that the level and positions of the class suit you both. If a session doesn't work for one of you, there's no need to push on just to follow the same sequence.

At DUO

Some weeks, our plan includes DUO classes, with sessions designed for two and themes such as mobility or strength.

The demonstrations show how the movements are done together, while sound cues and on-screen prompts mark the different moments of the session.

It's a chance to try another way of practising Pilates, sharing the class while respecting each person's abilities.

Pick a time, set up your space and come train as a pair with us.
